“Unbreakable” is the first track from MJ’s final album Invincible. It clocks in at a lengthy six minutes with a posthumously sampled rap from The Notorious B.I.G. from the Shaquille O'Neal song “You Can’t Stop The Reign.” B.I.G. was also featured on “This Time Around” from Michael Jackson’s last studio album. HIStory: Past, Present and Future.

Adding to Biggie’s posthumous presence, “Unbreakable” contains a sample of Biggie’s Ready to Die cut “Unbelievable”, making this song a bit of a sonic tribute to the Notorious One, who was murdered four years prior.

In a late 2001 interview, Michael was asked what his favorite song off the album was. Michael responded with “Unbreakable”, “You Rock My World”, and “The Lost Children”.
