Beyond the palace hemi-powered drones scream down the boulevard

from Bruce Springsteen – Born to Run Lyrics on Rap Genius

Meaning

Palace Amusements was an indoor amusement park in Asbury Park, NJ.

This iconic establishment was opened in 1888, and remained a fixture of the Jersey Shore until it shuttered its doors a century later. It was listed on the registry of historic places in 2000.

The “boulevard,” while hard to determine exactly which street is being mentioned, is possibly a reference to Neptune Boulevard, a short boulevard off Route 18 in Asbury Park.
