What did Coldplay say about "Square One"?
Genius Answer

Chris Martin, speaking in 2005:

The song “Square One”, Jon [Buckland, guitarist] and Will [Champion, drummer] were just messing around one day, and it just sort of turned into this song, and as soon it arrived it was like, “okay, that’s gotta be the opening song”. As soon as the song “Square One” existed it was always going to open the album because you can’t have a song called “Square One” and put it at track 7.
