Everything's done under the sun
There are two different biblical lines, both from the Book of Ecclesiastes, to which this alludes.
In the first, 1:13-14, The Teacher, son of David, claims that in his pursuit of knowledge, he has found that everything done under the sun is meaningless.
The second, 9:1-3, The Teacher says that all men, regardless of what they have done, share the same fate, and that that is the evil given to men.
