Miseria Cantare - The Beginning Lyrics

[Chorus]
Love your hate, your faith lost
You are now one of us
Love your hate, your faith lost
You are now one of us

[Verse 1]
Nothing from nowhere, I'm no one at all
Radiate, recognize one silent call
As we all form one dark flame
Incinerate

[Verse 2]
Nothing from nowhere, I'm no one at all
Radiate, recognize one silent call
As we all form one dark flame
As we all form one dark flame
As we all

[Chorus]
Love your hate, your faith lost
You are now one of us
Love your hate, your faith lost
You are now one
One of us

About

Genius Annotation

The opening track to the 2003 release of the East Bay natives, AFI (A Fire Inside). As they have done on other albums (most notably, Black Sails in the Sunset), they preface their album with a short song that sets the tone for what’s to follow.

The title, “Miseria Cantare”, is Latin for “Sing the Sorrow.”
