Radio Lyrics

[Verse 3]
Shaking like a dog shitting razorblades
Waking up next to nothing after dreaming of you and me
I'm waking up all alone, waking up so relieved
While you're taking your time with apologies
I'm planning out my revenge
Red eyes on orange horizons
If Columbus was wrong I'd drive straight off the edge
I'm seeing red

[Chorus]
I've got a big fat fucking bone to pick with you my darling
In case you haven't heard I'm sick and tired of trying
I wish you would take my radio to bathe with you
Plugged in and ready to fall

Plugged in and ready to fall
Plugged in and ready to fall
Plugged in and ready to fall

About

Genius Annotation

“Radio” is an unconventional break-up song. The song is about a couple who have tried multiple times to get their relationship to work but were never successful.

While both parties in the relationship have shown signs of an unhealthy relationship, the singer resolves the best course of action is to cut all all ties and end it.

In an interview with PunkNews, Skiba shares the idea behind the song:

[Laughing] But the story also goes that you hope somebody’s listening to your radio and it’s plugged in next to the bathtub so that it electrocutes them. It never goes as far to say that I hope it happens – it’s just there, next to the water you’re in. So not quite like wishing death upon somebody, but maybe thinking about it a little bit.
