Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? (2011) Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Tonight, you're mine completely
You give your love so sweetly
Tonight, the light of love is in your eyes
Will you still love me tomorrow?

[Verse 2]
Is this a lasting treasure?
Or just a moment's pleasure?
Can I believe the magic of your sighs?
Will you still love me tomorrow? Yeah

[Verse 3]
Tonight, with words unspoken
And you said that I'm the only one, the only one, yeah
But will my heart be broken
When the night (When the night) meets (Meets the morning) the morning star?

[Verse 4]
I'd like to know that your love is love I can be sure of, ooh, yeah
So tell me now, 'cause I won't ask again
(Will you still love me tomorrow?)
Will you still love me tomorrow?

[Outro]
Will you still love me tomorrow? Ooh
Will you still love me tomorrow?
(Will you still love me tomorrow?)
(Will you still love me?)

About

Genius Annotation

Amy Winehouse effortlessly brings the 1960 song “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?,” originally performed by the girl group The Shirelles, back to life with her soulfully poignant vocals.

Winehouse recorded the cover of the song in 2004 for the soundtrack to Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. Following her death in 2011, producer Mark Ronson reworked the cover, with the new rendition appearing on Winehouse’s posthumous album Lioness: Hidden Treasures – hence the disambiguation of the year 2011 in the title.

Genius Answer

Co-Producer and Co-Compiler of the album, Mark Ronson, said the following about the track in the CD booklet of Lioness: Hidden Treasures:

I feel like this vocal is Amy’s parting gift to me, as if she’s saying, “oi Markey, here’s some more vocal gold dust. Now, go to town on it”. I forgot how much better she makes me until I started working on the arrangement for this song. I just wish she was still here to tell me to “turn the harp down, it sounds like a fucking Mariah Carey” (true quote).
