“Bridges” is the lead single from New Zealand duo Broods‘ self-titled EP, also appearing on their debut studio album Evergreen.

I wrote about a time when I was mulling over past experiences, thinking about people that I’ve lost, just kind of how it all turned out and the aftermath of that. I came up with the lyrics when I was lying in bed one night. […] It started off quite melancholic, quite moody and sad, and then we took it into the studio and brought it up, giving it a conclusion through the music.. it has a resolution through the chorus being upbeat.
