Genius Annotation

“F.U.S.S.” stands for “Fuck U Scott Storch” and is a diss track to Aguilera’s former producer Scott Storch, who contributed to her previous studio album Stripped. Storch was asked to contribute to Back to Basics, but he refused the offer when the singer declined to fly him and his entourage out to Los Angeles to work on the album, which led to a breakdown of their relationship.

Storch said of the song:

It’s pretty pathetic that she would do a song like this. I worked on half of her last CD and sold her millions of copies. Obviously she cares more than I do that I didn’t do this album, but I can’t blame her, with an album full of fillers, over-singing, and lame Vegas-like cabaret music.
