Electronica meets graffiti, in this wondrous opener to Coldplay’s modern-day rock opera, “Mylo Xyloto”. A ‘70s synth, echoing guitars, and global instruments, as well as a tinkling glockenspiel help put the album on the path to a spectacle of a land filled, with war, colour, crime, love, fascism, martial rule, and hope.

The song serves as a prologue to the album, and opens up the listener to the plot, much like the gateway to Neverland, the “second star to the right, and straight on till morning”.
