Musically, the song’s upbeat, almost commercial tone, mandolin-based instrumentation, and sun-drenched harmonies all hearken back to the mid-‘90s heyday of alternative groups like R.E.M., Third Eye Blind, Del Amitri, and Gin Blossoms, a departure from Frank’s previous Anglo-folk-punk sound.

The video features fans with tattoos of his lyrics, and he even gets a prominent hourglass tattoo in the video.
