About

Genius Annotation

The idea and sample for this track came together when G-Eazy when his friend introduced him to the track, Jai Paul’s “BTSTU”. He flipped the track and made it something simple that everyone could dig but he struggled with piling money together to copyright it and push it out there. The track’s vibe and sample were later stolen by Drake, who G opened up for. He explains this story in the 2nd verse of “Its Not Easy.”

Photographed by Bobby Bruderle, the art work is a simple, black and white portrait of G-Eazy. Bobby Bruderle is a good friend of G’s and has been one of the many photographers on his tours. He has also shot many of G’s album art work including “Running” and some of the visuals for Endless Summer tracks.
