Christie Road Lyrics

[Bridge]
Mother, stay out of my way
Of that place we go
We'll always seem to find our way
To Christie Road

Mother, stay out of my way
Of that place we go
We'll always seem to find our way
To Christie Road

[Outro]
If there's one thing that I need
That makes me feel complete
So I go to Christie Road
It's home, it's home
It's home, it's home, it's home

About

Genius Annotation

When asked about this song by a British journalist Mike Dirnt said

[it’s] about bestiality, Satanism, and self-torture

This was obviously a joke, as “Christie Road” talks about a place Billie Joe would go to get high and disconnect from the world. The narrator says that Christie Road is a place where he feels comfortable and where he can relax. This song is more about feeling relaxed and being away from society rather than about the specific location it describes.
