The second song off the Chili Peppers seventh album, Californication. This was guitarist John Frusciante’s first album back with the band after a brief hiatus. Anthony Kiedis noted in his book Scar Tissue that his guitar skills were not as great as they had been on past records such as Blood Sugar Sex Magik. It should be noted that throughout the album, his playing is not as intricate or psychedelic as it was on Blood Sugar Sex Magik, and definitely not as good as it would be on later albums such as Stadium Arcadium.
