It was written by Greg Kurstin (who produced the song), Nicole Morier and Britney Spears.
The song was originally written for Britney Spears after she began working on her 2008 album “Circus,” but it didn’t make the album’s final tracklisting.

I just heard the song; I fell in love with it. They gave it to me, the producers who worked on it, and I came and sang and saw that she had co-written it, so I was very excited.
