Stereo Sanctity Lyrics

[Intro]
Seven
(Is it rolling?) Seven
(Is it rolling? Roll)

[Verse 1]
I'm keeping my commission to faith's transmission
Two speakers dream the same and skies turn red
Satellites flashing down Orchard and Delancey
I can't get laid 'cause everyone is dead

[Chorus 1]
Hey, gold connections
Analog soul waving in your hair
Hey, hylozoic directions
She's talking blue streaks everywhere

[Verse 2]
Your spirit is time-reversed to your body
Stereographic mix-up, field on field
It started growing up the day your body dies
Only apparently, real to irreal

[Chorus 2]
Hey, stereo stations
Perfect image, kneel down
Hey, hypostatic information
Come on, let's hear you turn around

Genius Annotation

From the Pitchfork review: “Stereo Sanctity” also reference Valis, a novel inspired by a mystical epiphany Dick had when a woman wearing a Christian fish-symbol necklace delivered a drugstore prescription to his front door; it was one of many messages he received from what he called the Vast Active Living Intelligence System, a kind of life force that communicated to him in an AI voice. In the novel, the Valis inserts itself in the brains of humans, reordering the world through their splintered psyches."
