Big Bottom Lyrics

[Verse 1]
The bigger the cushion, the sweeter the pushin'
That's what I said
The looser the waistband, the deeper the quicksand
Or so I have read

[PreChorus 1]
My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo
I'd like to sink her with my pink torpedo

[Chorus 1]
Big bottom, big bottom
Talk about bum cakes, my girl's got 'em
Big bottom drive me out of my mind
How could I leave this behind?

[Verse 2]
I met her on Monday, 'twas my lucky bun day
You know what I mean
I love her each weekday, each velvety cheek day
You know what I mean

[PreChorus 2]
My love gun's loaded and she's in my sights
Big game is waiting there inside her tights, yeah

[Chorus 2]
Big bottom, big bottom
Talk about mud flaps, my girl's got 'em
Big bottom drive me out of my mind
How could I leave this behind?

[PreChorus 1]
My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo
I'd like to sink her with my pink torpedo

[Chorus 1]
Big bottom, big bottom
Talk about bum cakes, my girl's got 'em
Big bottom drive me out of my mind
How could I leave this behind?

Genius Annotation

“Big Bottom” is the seventh song on the soundtrack This Is Spinal Tap, and arguably one of the most recognizable tracks on the album. It appears to be a direct parody of Queen’s 1978 hit, “Fat Bottomed Girls”, as well as a more general parody of the shameless sexuality of ‘cock rock’ acts, such as Whitesnake and Mötley Crüe, just to name a few.

“Big Bottom” is notable for its three bass arrangement, which are played by the fictional characters of the film, “David St. Hubbins”, “Nigel Tufnel”, and “Derek Smalls”. All characters contribute to the song by providing it with a driving force consisting of loud and deep bass notes and chords, replacing the standard guitar.

Genius Answer

[“Big Bottom”] was probably inspired by “Fat Bottomed Girls” by Queen. It seemed certainly worth another look by a lesser band than Queen, which we certainly were.
