311’s debut album Music contains 12 songs, 7 of which were previously released on demo releases. Some of the song’s lyrics were changed, especially “Do You Right”. 3 of the songs had SA change his lyrics, which would be Freak Out, Feels So Good, and Fuck The Bullshit, Plain was also changed, but instead it was the breakdown.
2 of the songs had a hidden track, which are Nix Hex (Ragga Drop) and Fat Chance (Fuck The Bullshit).
While having a not very great song selection, Music did have an impression of being one of the first nu-metal albums.
It was certified gold in 1999, with 500,000 copies.
