In 1983, Alice Cooper had relapsed heavily on drugs and alcohol. After a string of commercially and critically unsuccessful albums, Alice Cooper had nearly hit rock bottom. Both his previous album and DaDa had failed to scratch the Billboard 200. There was a silver lining however, DaDa is one of his greatest albums despite his struggles. It is a concept album following a boy named Sonny, whose mother died when he was young leaving him with his abusive and mentally unstable father.
