Last Young Renegade Tracklist
Last Young Renegade is the seventh studio Album by American pop-punk band All Time Low. The record experimented with different sounds and showed an evolution of the band. Moving on to a new stage in life, and the nostalgia that comes with it, are common themes throughout the album. It is their first album released under Fueled by Ramen.
Alex Gaskarth said in an interview with blitz that
The album came to life over the course of the last year and a half. It started with just a general, “let’s make a record”, and then it became a lot more fully formed as we went along. We came up with this concept of the last young renegade and telling the story of the fall and rise, of this character. Once we came up with that concept it ended up taking on a whole new life. We wanted the record to have these connecting threads that link songs to one another and had all these little connective tissues, so that’s what we ended up chasing. We pushed ourselves sound wise, in a lot of ways, and tried a lot of new things that took us to places that I don’t think we’ve ever been before, which was really exciting. We’ve been a band for a long time, [so] at this point we want to try our hardest to create something new, encourage the fans and show them something different."
A statement that went with the official release with the album went as follows:
“Last Young Renegade is a story of self-realization. A collection of songs written from the perspective of the other side of the mirror. In writing this record, I delved into all of the different versions of me that other people might have met over the years, through the ups and downs, in the public eye and behind closed doors. I gave those other sides of me a persona, and a name, and The Last Young Renegade was born. It became a symbol for those characters and allowed me to comfortably write about some things that I’m not as comfortable talking about openly. This is a very personal record, our favorite that we’ve written. We hope you enjoy the album as much as we do. Thank you for being along for this journey with us.”

What have the artists said about the album?
In an interview with Fuse Alex said:
Last Young Renegade is my favorite record we’ve ever made, for sure. We’ve gone through a lot getting to where we are now, and I think a lot of that story we’ve never told—some of the darker times, some of the times when we had self-doubt…We kind of got a little more creative with the story on this record. I think there’s a big overarching theme on the album and a lot of connective tissue between the songs.
