Into The Unknown is the second full-length studio album by California punk rock band Bad Religion. Released in 1983, it strays far from the musical sound and edge of their previous release, How Could Hell Be Any Worse? Into The Unknown takes on a progressive rock sound with more synthesizers and softer vocals among other things. Upon release, Into The Unknown sold rather poorly and many copies were recalled. The poor reception of Into The Unknown led to the return to Bad Religion’s punk roots in their 1985 EP, Back To The Known.
