Greatest Hits, Vol. 3

Billy Joel

About “Greatest Hits, Vol. 3”

Greatest Hits, Volume III is a compilation of Billy Joel’s most notable work from 1983 – 1993. It includes songs from his previous studio albums: An Innocent Man, The Bridge, Storm Front, and River of Dreams. There is some chronological overlap with Volume II as two songs from The Innocent Man are included here as well. Three previously unreleased studio tracks are included, “To Make You Feel My Love”, “Hey Girl”, and “Light as the Breeze”. All three tracks are covers songs (a rare occurrence in his catalogue), and although “To Make You Feel My Love” and “Hey Girl” were recorded to be singles for this album, Joel originally recorded the song “Light as the Breeze” for a Leonard Cohen tribute album, Tower of Song, released in 1995.

Greatest Hits, Volume III has been certified platinum by the RIAA, selling over one million copies to date.
