Loose Nut

About “Loose Nut”

Loose Nut is the follow up to Black Flag’s 1984 album Slip It In. It was recorded in March of 1985 and released two months later on SST Records. The album, like Slip It In, features a more heavy metal influenced sound, as opposed to the fast hardcore punk of their early albums.

The song “Modern Man” is notable as it features original bassist Chuck Dukowski’s final writing credit for Black Flag. Chuck left the band in 1983 and became the band’s manager.
