Flyswatter is Blink-182’s first recording that is available to the public. It was the band’s first demo tape before they made studio albums.
Flyswatter was recorded in drummer Scott Raynor’s bedroom when the band’s name was simply Blink. It was all recorded live and wasn’t mastered; it was “distributed” by the imaginary label Fags In The Wilderness Records, which was made up by the band. In reality, Tom gave out the cassette tapes during lunch at school.
Due to the low quality of the recordings, the album wasn’t really popular.
