Neighborhoods Tracklist
Neighborhoods is the sixth studio album by Blink-182, released on September 27, 2011, through DGC Records and Interscope Records. This was their first album in eight years since the release of Self Titled on November 18, 2003. This album’s recording followed the band’s breakup and later reconciliation.
The recording and release of Neighborhoods was delayed multiple times. The recording’s delay was due to the way the band chose to work. The album was recorded at both DeLonge’s studio in San Diego and in Los Angeles by Hoppus and Barker.
Recording in separate studios was DeLonge’s idea, ideas were exchanged via e-mail. Various engineers met up in person to trade files on hard drives. The three musicians were rarely in the same room while recording. Each member worked on their parts individually, DeLonge said that the method of recording was a more efficient way of working considering the schedules, not due to a lack of unity within the band.

Tom Delonge said in an interview with Alternative Addiction:
In the album you’ll hear elements of hip-hop rhythms mixed with suburban punk and indie rock experimentation. I presented that title and everyone kind of connected with it. I think it has to do with the fact that all three of us grew up in totally different neighborhoods, and it represents all three of our worlds colliding.
