Before 30 is the upcoming seventh and final studio album from American rapper, Bow Wow, expected to be released in 2023. This marks his first album in over thirteen years, following up his March 2009 release, New Jack City II.

On January 8, 2021, Bow Wow announced plans that he would be releasing one more album before his retirement. It is rumored to have 10 tracks, and would be narrated by his mentor, Snoop Dogg, who had gave Bow Wow the stage name back in the early ‘90s.

I’ma do one more album. It’s gonna be the last one and it’s gonna be called Before 30, and I’ma have Snoop narrate the whole thing. So it’s gonna be kind of a different project, 10 songs.

This wasn’t the first time Bow Wow hinting about his upcoming retirement. Back in 2016, he tweeted that he would be done rapping before he turned 30 years old.

After staying silent on the album, on February 25, 2022, it was announced that Bow Wow had plans to release his final album through his former label Death Row Records. In a Twitter post, Bow Wow stated:

Spoke to Snoop last week. Very soon. My plan is to put my final album on Death Row and close my music career out where it began. I’m tryna do the D Wade and come home and close it out.

Bow Wow had been signed to the label back in 1993, until he left in 1998. With him returning to Death Row in 2022, following up Snoop buying the label, this will be the rapper’s first and only album to be released through the label and his first release with the label in 24 years.
