Fight Off Your Demons

Fight Off Your Demons is the unofficial title of a collection of nine demos that were leaked on the internet in anticipation of the band’s third studio album The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me. The leaked demos were officially released by the band in 2016 on Leaked Demos 2006.

Though the songs were unfinished and rough in quality, they gained somewhat of a cult following. Two of the songs were reworked and featured in The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me, and two more reworked and released as B-Sides on singles from the album.

While fans enjoyed the surprise of the new songs, the band had mixed reactions about the leak. In particular, Jesse Lacey was unhappy in part due to the fact that the songs weren’t heard in their “finished” form, but also felt the songs were “wasted” and no longer usable for the band’s third album.
