Wrecking Ball

Bruce Springsteen

About “Wrecking Ball”

Wrecking Ball is the 17th studio album released in 2012. In this album, Springsteen again picks up where Magic left off, after the Iraq War, with Hurricane Katrina and the Great Recession of 2008.

Bruce Springsteen continues to dwell on the themes of economic and social justice with hits such as “We Take Care of Our Own”, where Springsteen explores discrimination and the Bush administration’s inability to aid Hurricane Katrina victims, and “Death To My Hometown.”

Throughout Wrecking Ball, the bittersweet notes of Americana urges us to renew our commitment to equality. The album garnered Best Album of 2012 by Rolling Stone. and was nominated for The Grammy’s Best Rock Album of the Year.
