It’s Better If You Don’t Understand was Bruno Mars' first EP, which was released by Elektra Records in May of 2010. The EP was produced by Mars' production company, The Smeezingtons, and included some production from Jeff Bhasker. The EP includes four songs from seemingly different genres: “Somewhere in Brooklyn,” an electro-pop song about chasing down the perfect woman, “The Other Side,” a soulful piece about what happens when you cross over to fame, “Count on Me,” a feel-good Jason Mraz-style tune popular for its tropical groove, and “Talking to the Moon,” a power ballad about a lost love.
