Ready for the Weekend

Debuting at #1 on the UK Albums Charts, Ready for the Weekend sold 36,308 copies in its first week. Featuring the singles “I’m not alone,” “Flashback,” “You Used to Hold Me,” and of course, “Ready for the Weekend,” the album was also certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

Harris concocted a rather sly plan in 2008, in which he lied to his label that he had lost the only copy of the album on his laptop along with his bags at London Heathrow Airport. Having done this to buy himself more time to record the album, he only admitted that this was a lie a year later in 2009.
