Lestat the Musical

Based on The Vampire Lestat written by Anne Rice, from the series The Vampire Chronicles. The musical stays fairly true to the books and follows Lestat’s early life as a vampire.

The musical briefly ran on Broadway in 2006 and, despite being nominated for 2 Tony awards, received poor reviews and was essentially a flop. Likely for this reason, only a few studio recordings of the musical were ever released (The Thirst, The Crimson Kiss, Welcome to the New World, I Want More, Sail Me Away, To Kill your Kind, and After All This Time).

The lyrics used in the stage production vary slightly with those heard in the studio recordings.
