He was approximately 16 to 17 years old when it was released.

This album is technically a re-release of his debut LP Esham’s Boomin' “Words From Hell” which was a very limited release (1,000 copies) the previous year under no record label; colloquially known as The Red Tape.

This version contains 16 tracks total, losing 3 songs that were included on the earlier version, but gaining 7 new ones. There are also some minor lyrical changes on the song “Word After Word”.
