Déjà vu

Capitalising off his new found fame thanks to Daft Punk and their track “Giorgio By Moroder,” the veteran producer puts out what feels like a rushed and sterile project that failed to truly cement his legacy as a legend in the genre.

Packed with guest spots from huge name artists (Sia, Charlie XCX, Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Foxes, and Kelis), the album failed to strike a chord with critics. Rather than build on the warm accessibility of the Daft Punk collaboration, the sound on Déjà vu is part Kraftwerk part ​deadmau5; slightly too cold for 2015.

Commercially it was relatively successful, charting at number 1 on the US Dance/Electronic Albums list and charting in 16 other countries.
