Our Endless Numbered Days

Sam Beam leaves behind his lo-fi, home-recording aesthetic in Our Endless Numbered Days, his second full-length release as Iron & Wine.

Unchanged from his previous works though is his obsession with the passage of time, in fact the theme truly blossoms on this record as its seemingly paradoxical title indicates. Beam approaches the mortality of himself and those around him in “Naked as We Came” and the place idle summers hold in our memories in “Sunset Soon Forgotten”.
