John Denver Sings is a self-produced album by John Denver, an album that Denver sold 250 copies to his friends and family. The album was eventually digitally reissued in 2012.
The album features cover songs and an original song by Denver, “Babe, I Hate to Go,” an early version of “Leaving On a Jet Plane.” The song would later appear on his debut commercially released album Rhymes & Reasons under the “Leaving On a Jet Plane” title in 1969.
