About “Blue 50 (Demos & Outtakes)”

Joni Mitchell’s label released Blue 50 (Demos & Outtakes) on June 21, 2021, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of her 1971 fourth studio album and most acclaimed record Blue.

This EP contains the demos of the Blue tracks “A Case Of You,” “California,” and “River,” as well as “Urge for Going' which she wrote a couple of years before the album originally came out but didn’t release until the year after in 1972. This also includes "Hunter” which was cut from the album and had never been properly released.
