Ultraviolence (Deluxe)

Lana Del Rey

About “Ultraviolence (Deluxe)”

Ultraviolence (Deluxe) is the deluxe version of Lana Del Reys second studio album, which features five bonus tracks.

Track 12, 13 and 14 were published on all deluxe editions. “Black Beauty” was released as the fifth single of the album on November 21, 2014. When the demo version leaked in July, Lana stated:

I do feel discouraged, yeah. I don’t really know what to put on the record. But I guess I could just put them on and see what happens. Each time I write… I’ll never write a song if I don’t think it’s going to be perfect for the record.

Reminiscent of late 90’s rock themed ballads, “Guns and Roses” is a reference to the band Guns N’ Roses. “Florida Kilos” has a different sound from the rest of the album, more the feel of Lana Del Rey’s unreleased material.

“Is This Happiness” and “Flipside” are both exclusively available on the iTunes deluxe edition.
