One Step Beyond… is Madness' debut album. The album played a major role in the British Ska movement of the 80s. It remained in the UK charts for 78 weeks, peaking at #2. It was also successful overseas, charting in Austria, Germany, Norway, Sweeden, New Zealand, as well as the Billboard Hot 200 in the USA.
