American Pie is a promotional maxi-single by Madonna, originally released in 2000, via Maverick and Warner Bros. Records.

The maxi-single features the original version of “American Pie,” which was released as a single from the soundtrack The Next Best Thing: Music From The Motion Picture on March 3, 2000, as well as four remixes. It also marks her first remix collaboration with Richard “Humpty” Vission.

A digital version of the maxi-single was released digitally for the first time, and includes two remixes not found on the original maxi single:
