Like A Virgin is Madonna’s second studio album. It was released on November 12, 1984 and charted at #1 in early 1985.

It became the first female album to sell over 5 million copies in the U.S and has been certified diamond, having sold over 10 million copies.

Spawning five singles, it made Madonna a household name and inspired a generation of women to control their sexual identity and combat old gender norms.

The legendary Nile Rodgers produced all tracks, except “Into the Groove”.
