Merry Christmas (Deluxe Anniversary Edition) is a two-CD deluxe anniversary edition of Mariah Carey’s 1994 debut Christmas album Merry Christmas. The announcement was made by Carey herself on September 23, 2019 via Twitter.
The anniversary edition features unreleased live tracks from her 1994 Christmas performance at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City, a new rendition of “Sugar Plum Fairy”, and rare remixes.
Along with the album, new holiday merchandise, including MC-branded T-shirts, sweatshirts, stockings, and beanies were also released to coincide with the anniversary.

Does Mariah hear "Merry Christmas" any differently now than she did back then?
It’s interesting, because I pick a lot of things apart about the Merry Christmas album. Originally, I would just nitpick “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” Not the song itself, but the vocal: “Why didn’t I fix this? Why didn’t I do that?” Things that would irritate me. Now I just live with it and love it. My relationship with Merry Christmas is better than it was when I first made the album. I put so much into it. It wasn’t like, “Here’s a throwaway.” This was a real labor of love, and I’m a perfectionist.
