Lest We Forget: The Best Of

Marilyn Manson

About “Lest We Forget: The Best Of”

Lest We Forget: The Best Of is a greatest hits compilation album released in 2004 by Interscope Records. It was certified gold. The band supported the album with their Against All Gods Tour.

The album includes songs from 1994 – 2004, and one new song, a cover of Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus.”

A duet cover of “Don’t You Want Me” by the The Human League was recorded with Shirley Manson of the band Garbage, but the track wasn’t included on the album as neither singer felt it really showcased their talents. It has never been released anywhere.

The deluxe version of the album, which is now out of print, also included a DVD, with the majority of the band’s music videos, as well as “easter eggs” like the making of the mOBSCENE video, the short film titled Autopsy from Holy Wood, and the preformance version of the Disposable Teens video.

Costumers who ordered the album from the official Marilyn Manson website also received a copy of the unedited and unreleased music video for (s)AINT, which had been banned by the label.

The cover art is a watercolor painting of Manson’s titled Experience is The Mistress of Fools.
