Record sales for It Won’t Be Soon Before Long proved that Maroon 5 did not fall into a sophomore slump. It went multi-platinum in the United States and peaked in the top 10 in 17 countries.

Five singles were released from the album, with the most popular being “Makes Me Wonder,” which they performed in several television appearances.

The original release in 2007 had twelve tracks. A year later, Maroon 5 re-released the album with six more tracks, included a re-recorded version of “If I Never See Your Face Again” featuring Rihanna.
