Hardwired…To Self-Destruct is the tenth studio album by American thrash metal band, Metallica; released 8 years after Death Magnetic. The album released at November 18, 2016 and charted #1 in Billboard 200 for first week of release.

With a return to the thrash roots in 2008 with Death Magnetic, the band followed the right path to bring back their old fans again. Songs in this album are very melodic and often even penetrating.

On September 15, 2016, the band announced that they had updated the track list for the deluxe edition of the album, which includes 14 tracks with three cover songs.
