About “Uncle Bunny Faces’ Useless Analogy Involving Distance, Freight Trains, and Half Ripe Limes (It Doesn’t Matter, Limes Are Sour Either Way)”

Uncle Bunny Faces' Useless Anaology Involving Distance, Freight Trains, And Half Ripe Limes (It Doesn’t Matter, Limes Are Sour Either Way) was the first recording to be released by the original lineup of Modest Mouse on cassette format. Isaac Brock made a limited number of cassette tapes with xerox-copied cover/liner notes and sold them on his own.

On the liner notes, Brock wrote hand-written in pen:

So I decided to make a motion picture soundtrack. Here it is. It’s a collection of bad at best recordings that have been building up on cassette in my shed. These songs were recorded on marginal or worse tape recorders thus the marginal quality. Pretend like it was a choice we made and credit to style. I’m busy recording a sequal now. This all really boils down to some thing to do. The songs on the end of either side had a tendency to get cut off, due the mystery length of the tapes I used. Well get ready with the fast forward button. Talk to you later. I can say that cuz I know everyone I’m giving this to. XOXO. Numb to Nothing + Isaac Brock
