Electric Arguments

Paul McCartney

About “Electric Arguments”

Electric Arguments is the first album by The Fireman to be publicly acknowledged. Furthermore, the cover of the album features the names of both contributors for the first time, Paul McCartney and Youth.

McCartney’s approach to Electric Arguments was not like writing typical songs; he explained that he wrote the album pretty quickly and without much thought, stating in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine that:

[…] with absolutely no concept of what the melody or lyrics would be about… So it was like writing on the spot, which I think lent an electricity to the whole sound. It’s kind of what happens when you write a song… but on speed. You’ve just got to think of the idea there and then.
