The World from the Side of the Moon

The World from the Side of the Moon is the debut album from American Idol season eleven winner Phillip Phillips, released on November 19, 2012 via Interscope Records through 19 Recordings.

The album debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 169,000 within it’s first week. On August 21, 2013, the album was certified platinum.

A total of three singles were released from the album: “Home”, “Gone, Gone, Gone”, and “Where We Came From”. Commercially, “Home” became the most successful single from the album, and of his career, reaching a peak of #6 on the Billboard Hot 100, and going on to become 4x platinum with sales of four million copies sold.
