About “Live Killers”

Live Killers is a live album recorded on the European leg of the Jazz world tour, between January and March of 1979. It was self-produced, and was the first Queen album to be mixed at their own studio, “Mountain Studios” in Montreux, Switzerland. Despite the band admittedly being “unhappy” with the final mix, as well as receiving a fair amount of negative reviews from major music publications, (such as Rolling Stone), it still did well, reaching #3 on the UK Albums Chart and #16 on the Billboard 200 in the US. Elektra Records later re-released Live Killers with a shorter and edited track-list for territories outside of the US.
