The album and title track share their title with a Fritz Leiber story about a man who plays craps with Death. The main character, unhappy, unsympathetic, and alienated from domestic life, goes out to drink and gamble. He gets a little more than he expected, but comes away with a new zest for life, and even a little more appreciation for home and family. Sometimes, living means taking risks. Other times, we choose to take risks, to feel more alive.
