Gloria Tracklist
Gloria is Sam Smith’s fourth album, released on January 27th 2023.
In an interview on British morning news programme “BBC Breakfast” on 11th November 2022, Sam explained the meaning of the album title:
“Gloria” isn’t the name of a person, but the fighting spirit within me. I am letting it loose. The album is about spiritual, emotional and sexual liberation.
The album’s first single, “Love Me More,” was released on April 28, 2022, along with its music video.
On September 22, 2022 Sam released the Billboard Top 100-topping single, “Unholy” featuring German/American singer – songwriter Kim Petras. Nearly a month later on October 17, Sam officially announced Gloria, along with its cover art and release date. The album has 13 tracks in total.
On January 11th, 2023, Sam released a new single, “Gimme”, a collaboration with Jessie Reyez and Reggae artist, Koffee, after previously being teased in social media. This was followed by another single, the album title track, two days afterwards.
The album was released on 27th January 2023. An in depth interview with Zane Lowe explains Sam’s views on their maturing and developing as an artist and a person, and how this has affected their artistic direction and creativeness.

What has the artist said about the album?
Sam Smith:Well, I think my first couple of records were about heartbreaks and I was a dramatic 20 year old going through heartbreaks and stuff like that. And, I, when I sat down to make this album, the scariest thing to dowas to try and write something that was, when I say joyful, I mean like, it can’t be joyful all the time. But like, stepping into a confidence and I, because heartbreak was a safe space for me, so I’ve been like, playing with different emotions, anger, sexiness, joyfulness. And it’s, it’s, it’s really exciting and I feel like I’m in a dangerous place again. And as an artist, I like to feel a bit scared.
